We teach kids respect, discipline, inclusivity, confidence and kindness, all whilst maintaining fun, and high standard teaching.
Our mission is to prove to kids in the local area, of all demographics, all walks of life, that no dream is to big and can be achieved with the right mindset.

THE JUNGLE DANCE STUDIOS PHILOSOPHY
OUR WHY
Our principal Phoenix Taylor, grew up dreaming of being a professional dancer, and started classes quite late for a dancer aged 11.
Her first dance school was very mainstream and strict, which killed the love of dance for her, and crushed her spirit weekly.
On top of that, coming from a poor background, classes and dance training wasn't easily accessed.
Blend that with some classic dance school bullying, dance mums and unreal expectations, she never went back...
Phoenix opened The Jungle Dance Studios, to go against the grain of regular dance schools and provide a safe haven for kids who just want to dance.
A school where kids don't get belittled for not being good enough, or not looking a certain way.
A home where everyone feels like a someone, no judgement, no bs, just dance.
Just like it should be.
OUR PAST
Opening our first studio in 2016 in Newcastle NSW, in the heritage listed building within the Hunter Street Mall.
A sanctuary for Novacastrian Dancers of all ages.
Performing regularly, competing and becoming one of Newcastle's most solid, safe and popular dance studios.
Closing our doors and coming up North to QLD, where our principals home is.
We have had studios in Logan Village, Beenleigh and now Yarrabilba.
With 80 queensland students, things started to feel right again, and then the cheeky ol Pandemic hit us.
Taking signs from the universe, Phoenix settled down and had her two sons, closing The Jungle doors.
OUR FUTURE
Here we are now coming into 2024, opening our doors, ready for a brilliant year of doing what we do best. The Jungle has grown, expanded, relocated, but most importantly we have never changed our vibe or mission.
